A New Trick and Some Cute Pictures

Maddie has a new trick....When we are eating she loves to blow her food all over herself and me!! She thinks that it is hilarious :)

Maddie and Santa

Maddie went to see Santa yesterday!! The line was quite long but she did really well. She was very happy and showing off for the crowd :). When it was finally our turn, I handed Madelyn over to Santa and she stared at him. I thought that she was going to cry but just as the camera lady got ready, Madelyn broke out into a full blown grin! The whole crowd cheered :) She was such a star!

Christmas Time

This past weekend, Madelyn and I went Christmas Tree shopping with my parents and sister. It was such perfect Christmas Tree weather - COLD!!! Maddie really enjoyed walking around and looking at the trees...I think that she is going to love Christmas time as much as her Mommy does! :)

What a big girl!!

These past few weeks have been very busy and interesting. They have been full of firsts!

First ear infection - we are feeling much better now but it has been a rough few days :)

Trying to sit up....She is still hunched over quite a bit but it is getting better every day!! She is so proud of herself!!

First Christmas present and first time eating in her high chair!! She does so well and eats so much better in it! :) Trying to crawl!! She is pushing up on her hands and knees and then rocking back and forth. She is not moving forward yet but it is just a matter of time :)

TWO TEETH!

Maddie now has her bottom two teeth. One is about halfway out and the other just cut a few days ago! We decorated the house for Christmas a few days ago and Maddie loves looking at the lights on the Christmas Tree!! Here are some pictures :)

Turkey Day

So we had a really good Thanksgiving but I do not have too many pictures. Madelyn was in such a good mood, laughing and grinning, that I was too busy playing with her to take too many pictures. Her new "trick" is getting up on her hands and knees and rocking back and forth until she collapses and scoots backwards!! She is so close to crawling we are in trouble :). She is also really trying to sit up anytime that she can. When she is laying down, she flexes to try and sit up. She has such a bowling ball butt that she just falls over when trying to sit. She is getting much better though! :) Here is a picture from yesterday

Symphony in Motion Farm Animal Mobile - Madelyn has this mobile on her crib at daycare and she LOVES it!! This is at Target too 6. Chicco Duo Gym - at Babies R Us 7. A steam sterilizer - at Target 8. If you are thinking clothes, Madelyn is now wearing 6 months sizes but will probably be more in the 9 month size when Christmas comes :) We love Carter's clothes - they fit very nicely and hold up very well :) 9. She loves to explore and play with toys now too!

Sicky!

On the coattails of her first tooth, Madelyn also got her first bad cold. She is so sick and sad. She is coughing and snotty! She is even getting horse! Her crying sounds so sad...We got some medicine today so I hope that will make her feel better so that I do not have to wake her up three times (again) tonight to wipe her nose! Stay tuned, Madelyn and I are working on her Santa Wish List! :)

TEETH!!!

Maddie and I were playing yesterday when she started to chew on my hand and thats when I felt it!! She cut her first tooth yesterday. It is barely out of the gums but it is there! It is on the bottom right side :0! Papa came to see us last weekend

Okay so I have not been very good about this blogging thing lately...Instead of writing some long rambling diatribe, I will just upload some pictures about what has been going on lately :) ENJOY!! We got a new light-weight stroller! Madelyn loves so go on walks with Mommy! :) Madelyn and Mommy went to a Baby Halloween party! She really ejoyed playing with the other babies :) New Friends!! Update

I am sorry that I have not posted anything in a while. Life has been very crazy lately!! Maddie was sleeping really well but the past week or so, she has not been sleeping well at all. She is waking up at least once a night and not napping during the day very well. She has also been kind of crank lately. I think that all this is caused because she is starting to teeth. She is chewing on her thumb like it is going out of style and drooling all over the place. On a better note, Madelyn has been rolling over for a few weeks now. Anytime she is put on her back she is constantly trying to roll over. Trying to change her diaper is like a sport now...I have to keep a forearm on her stomach so I can change the diaper. I now know why changing pads have straps!! :) Here are some pictures as of late. We are still trying rice cereal. They are feeding her one meal at daycare and I am feeding her one meal at home. Some days she seems to really enjoy it and some other days she could care less... Our first Halloween outfit...She spit up on it right before this picture. Mom, stop taking my picture!!

Cereal!!

So this morning I tried rice cereal with Maddie and she could not have been less interested....I think that I am going to try it again tonight but she might not be ready for the spoon quite yet. She was not really sure what to think of all this but she did know that it was not a bottle. She did not keep any of the cereal in her mouth and it all ended up on her chin. :) Hungry and not understanding that this cereal is food too :) Very angry with me for not giving her a bottle right away... She was less than impressed with the cereal :) She just wanted a bottle.

Silly Tears

So I had a good cry last night for no reason...I used to think that my mom was silly because she always said that she could not watch movies or read books that involved children getting hurt. I always thought that was kind of silly because you knew that the movie/book was not real. Well, last night I understood how she feels. I was watching a silly show about two babies that were switched at birth and at 9 months their parents found out and they had to switch babies. I was bawling and had to turn it off because I could not control myself! I think I am going to be just like my mom!! :) Anyway, Maddie was sleeping all through the night for the past few days but woke up a few times again last night...maybe tonight will be back to normal :) I have also decided to wait until Saturday to start the rice cereal with Madelyn. I am not going to put it in her bottle because I have read scary things about children aspirating (spelling??) on it. Putting it in a bottle also causes the babies to not learn the stop reflex when they are eating...So, I am going to try feeing Madelyn rice cereal on Saturday morning!! There will be pictures of that for sure :)
