1st Photoshop Layout

I have been having trouble creating things using my new photoshop but I found an online tutorial video and it walked me through making this creation!! What do you think?? The only thing I need to figure out now is how to upload pictures and make them bigger than blogger's settings...Any ideas??

Mommy's Helper

Madelyn loves to "help" Mommy with laundry!! She gets very excited when it is time to fold laundry - I am hoping I can fork over the laundry responsibilities to her soon :)

PS - I got Photoshop Elements for my birthday. Do any of you Photoshoppers out there have any tricks they would like to share?? I am specifically look at using it to add words to pictures and create things with it. Any tips? Thanks

Happy Birthday To Me!

Today is my 27th birthday - man am I getting old!! :) My mom (Gigi) is kind enough to babysit Madelyn tonight so that Derek and I can have some free time. We have big plans to do all the things we have not done very often since having Madelyn; movie, dinner, shopping!! :) I will miss her so very much but I am looking forward to some alone time!! This has been a fantastic year....I have a wonderful family with a precious toddler and a great husband. How lucky am I?? :)

15 Months Old!!

I cannot believe that 15 months ago we had a precious little baby.....

and now we have a silly, energetic (!!) toddler!!!

Happy 15 month bday Madelyn! :) We have our 15 month appointment on Thursday so I will post more then about stats and what Madelyn is up to at 15 months!

Climbing Baby!

Most of this weekend was spent working on Madelyn's climbing skills! She has recently learned to climb on low things (like our ottoman) and is working on climbing on higher things...

So proud....(what a HAM :))

Big Foot

For the last week or so Madelyn has been completely anti-shoes. She has fussed when they were on and wanted them off immediately. Usually she is okay with shoes so I figured something was going on. I trimmed her toe nails thinking they were bugging her and that did not help. Finally, I realized that her shoes must be too small. I figured that since we just got them a few months ago that they were a little snug and just not comfortable to walk in anymore. This afternoon, we ventured out to Stride rite to get her re sized and new shoes. She was in a 4 1/2 and I thought we would go up only about a 1/2 size. Wrong!! They sized Madelyn as a 6!!! No wonder her feet were hurting! Poor little girl...Well, we got her a new pair so hopefully she will like shoes again :)

This is how I found Madelyn last night when I went to check on her! One slipper (she would not let me take the one off or put the other one on), the bottom of a baby bowl and her bunny (of course!!)...

Elephant Slippers

Madelyn is fairly unsure about her new elephant slippers - but I think they are pretty cute :)

Cars!!

Madelyn has been really into cars lately...She will load them onto her push toy and push them around. She also loves to roll them on the tile floor!

Big Girl Bathtime!

So Madelyn has not taken a big girl bath before. We have tried it a few times but our bathtub is very slippery and I was freaked out the entire time and Madelyn did not really enjoy it. We got a bath mat this afternoon and tried it again. At first, she was terrified - I actually got into the bath with her (fully clothed) and she seemed to warm up to the idea. Once she got used to it, she was loving it!! She loved kicking her feet and being able to turn all the way around. She also really loved being able to reach all her toys :)

Bunny Love

Madelyn is becoming more and more attached to bunny. She sleeps with it every night and wants to hold it in the car and when we are out...Lately she even wants to eat with it!!

Return of an old love...

This toy was banished to the garage a while ago. Yesterday afternoon, I was in desperate need of new entertainment so out it came! Madelyn thought it was a new toy - she was entertained for almost an hour!! She was so enamored that I could not even get her to look at the camera!! Yea for old/new toys :)

First Crayons

Yesterday afternoon, we decided to try out Madelyn's new crayons. They are special crayons made for toddlers and I was anxious to see how she would react. She tried to eat them at first but after I showed her how they work, she actually "colored". This lasted about a minute and she only tried to eat them a few times. We will keep working on this :). **UPDATE: we tried crayons again this morning and Madelyn knew exactly what to do and only tried to eat them once!! I think that we are making progress - she always wants to have more than one crayon to use! :)

Back to the Park

Today, Madelyn and I went back to the park. It was still super hot but Madelyn had so much fun. She was much more interested in the wood chips and other kiddos than the equipment. She loved walking around and looking at all the sights :).
