New Park

Madelyn and I went to a new park yesterday evening. We went right before dinner and bedtime so we did not stay for very long but Madelyn did seem to enjoy it. It was not as toddler friendly as our regular park so she could not be as independent as she wanted to be but this is a place we will visit again.

Not a huge fan of the sand (just like her Mama!). She did not like it in her shoes and did not want to sit down...Needless to say, this did not last long! :)

Little Miss Independent

Madelyn's new favorite phrases are "Go, Mommy" (or Daddy) and "Me do it!". She has become very independent lately, wanting to do everything on her own. She is growing up so much lately and I cannot believe that in less than a month our little baby girl will be 2!

Here are some pictures from our pool adventures today. She is really loving swimming and being in the water.

School Baby Shower

My good friend at school, Jennifer, is also pregnant (due this summer) with another little girl. The wonderful ladies on our 2nd grade team threw Jennifer and I a double baby shower this afternoon! It was so much fun and we are so thankful to work with such wonderful people! :)

OB Appointment - 26 weeks

I had another quick OB appointment today. All went well and baby Mason is growing right on track (actually a little big at this point). My weight keeps going up and I have decided to stop counting :). My doctor does not comment and I am enjoying being pregnant! I will worry about the weight after the baby. I was a little swollen this appointment but the blood pressure was great. The doctor said that I need to drink more water and relax (sit down) more. She said that would also relieve some of the MANY Braxton Hicks contractions I have been having! We reviewed the results of the last ultrasound and Dr. Patton says that Mason is looking great and she wants to see him again in 3 weeks! Yea! AND this time Dr. Patton will be doing the ultrasound instead of the tech! I was worried because last time we had a ultrasound Mason was in the breech position but Dr. Patton said that it is completely normal at this point and he can still move on his own. She does not worry about position until around 37 weeks! So, pray that he decides to flip on his own. I have my glucose test before the next appointment and I am DREADING it! I hate the taste of the drink and I hate sitting around for an hour waiting to take blood.

Here is the lastest bump shot at (almost) 26 weeks! (WOW - I am HUGE :))...

Memorial Day 2009

I love having an extra day off! YEA! We had a wonderful family filled Memorial Day. We started the day at the swimming pool followed by a wonderful nap from Madelyn. We then spent the afternoon out in the hot sun, playing in the backyard with Hallie. Madelyn had such a great time but it was super hot...We are really excited for summer! :)

Our Little Fishy!

Yesterday we decided to brave the neighborhood pool. We got ready early to be there right after it opened hoping to skip most of the crowds. It was not crowded but it was a little chilly. Again, Madelyn was pretty hesitant at first but warmed up to the water and had a blast. We were not there very long when dark clouds began to roll in so we packed up to head home. The fist trip was a success and I hope to be spending much more time there this summer!

1st Swim of the Season!

This was the first weekend that our neighborhood pool is open but it has been PACKED so we decided to go to Gigi's pool instead. Madelyn has not been in the pool since last summer and was a little hesitant at first but ended up loving it!! We spent a lot of time in the pool and spa just splashing around and having fun :)...

Ready to go swimming!

When we were done swimming, we played at Gigi's, had some dinner and headed home. Madelyn fell asleep on the way home and we were able to get her changed and in bed with out really waking her up! She was super tired after a really fun day...:)

1st Haircut

Although Madelyn does not have a whole lot of hair, what she does have has been out of control lately. We decided to take Madelyn to get her first haircut today...I did not want very much cut, just to get it out of her eyes and shape it up a bit! She actually did very well. She only got upset when they put the robe on her but once that was done, she did very well! There was another little kid there and whenever he would cry, she would kind of fuss but I think it was only because he was crying!

Before the cut, watching an Elmo video.

When the cut was over, the lady put her hair up with a rubber band and a bow. Usually, Madelyn will pull anything right out of her hair but she really liked it this time and would ask me to fix it when it got loose. I am hoping that I can keep putting things in her hair and finally use the cute bows that I have been making her!

Back at home with her treat!

"Horsey"

Madelyn got this "horsey" for her first Christmas and has never been too thrilled with it! Recently though she has seen it in her room and wants to play with it. So, the other day while Daddy was watching basketball, we pulled the "horsey" out and she played with it for a long while!
