First Taste!

First taste of a mini doughnut. The jury is still out. She seemed to enjoy it at first but only ate about half.

So Sick!!!

I made a post early in this pregnancy that marveled at how not sick I was. Well, the tables have turned and I am eating my words! I have been so sick the past few weeks - not just in the mornings...ALL DAY LONG. I was pretty sick with Madelyn but this one is much worse. Feeling sick (and getting sick) pretty much 24/7. I have even thrown up in the middle of the night for the past week or so! I have mixed feelings with being sick. I feel terrible and want it to stop but it also kind of reassures me that all is going well. Even then, I cannot wait until this phase is over!

I Heart Snow Days!!

Second day at home with the Cakes in the middle of the week is AWESOME!! Derek was able to stay home today as well and we spent the morning in our PJ's watching Madagascar! Madelyn was interested in about the first 45 minutes or so and then was done sitting still :). Here she is eating a snack and watching the movie!

Fridge Farm

Way before Madelyn was even born, my parents have had toy magnets on their fridge (I think that they came from a Sonic happy meal a long time ago!). When Madelyn started walking, she discovered the magnets and from then on, every time she went over there, the magnets were the first thing we went for! Recently, my mom decided that Madelyn needed more magnets to play with. She looked and looked and finally found this farm magnet. When you put the animals together, it sings a song and makes the animal noises. Madelyn loves her new fridge toy.
