Piggy Bank

Madelyn recently got a piggy bank for her room. Here she is putting some money in it! She thought this was the best time she has ever had! She especially loved washing her hands afterwards! Silly girl :)

In Training...

Madelyn is currently training for being a Big Sister. She has become very loving towards her dolls. She will feed them, give them bottles and put them night night. I think that she knows something is going on! Whenever anyone will mention her baby brother will be proudly tell them that his name is Mason and then proceed to either lift her shirt or my shirt to show them. I think we need a lesson on modesty soon :).

Swim Lesson Pictures

Thursday was our last day of swimming lessons and we had a little celebration. Madelyn got to show off all her skills that she has been learning. We also got a few pictures that the teachers took of Madelyn. They are not very good quality at all because they were scanned in and the photo paper used was grainy! They are pretty cute anyway and wanted to share! :)

(**Ever since Father's day (aka Happy Daddy Day) Madelyn has been going around saying "Happy Daddy Day" and "Happy Mommy Day" so today is "Happy Madelyn Day" - she probably spent about 15 minutes singing "Happy Madelyn Day" to herself before she went to sleep last night!)

After some breakfast, Madelyn and I headed downtown to her 2 year appointment with Dr. Curry. She got a clean bill of health and Dr. Curry said that she is progressing and growing very well! She is even a little ahead of where she should be! She is weighing in at 31 pounds (no wonder Mommy is tired) and 36 3/4 inches. She is in the 90% percentile for weight and off the charts (over 97%) for height. She only got one shot today and was more upset to be leaving the toys in the exam room than the actual shot. After we were done, we went down to Daddy's office to run around for a little bit.

We pass by Gigi's office on the way home so we stopped there too! Madelyn had so much fun eating M&M's, running around, and drawing with Abby.

On the way home, we got a lunch treat of "frenchy fries" and a "hammy hamburger" then had a good nap...

After nap there was a package waiting for Madelyn with some cute swimming suits and clothes from the Berg Family!

I then tried to get some pictures of Madelyn in her tutu like I did last year but it is much harder to get her to sit still and smile these days!

Madelyn ended her 2nd birthday with a homemade cupcake treat!

24 Months of Madelyn

Tomorrow our little girl turns 2 years old! I cannot believe that it has been 2 years since we brought Madelyn home!! This year instead of making a super long picture/video montage that really only family is interested in, I decided to just choose my favorite picture from each month of Madelyn's life and post them here!
