Update

I am sorry that I have not posted anything in a while. Life has been very crazy lately!! Maddie was sleeping really well but the past week or so, she has not been sleeping well at all. She is waking up at least once a night and not napping during the day very well. She has also been kind of crank lately. I think that all this is caused because she is starting to teeth. She is chewing on her thumb like it is going out of style and drooling all over the place. On a better note, Madelyn has been rolling over for a few weeks now. Anytime she is put on her back she is constantly trying to roll over. Trying to change her diaper is like a sport now...I have to keep a forearm on her stomach so I can change the diaper. I now know why changing pads have straps!! :) Here are some pictures as of late. We are still trying rice cereal. They are feeding her one meal at daycare and I am feeding her one meal at home. Some days she seems to really enjoy it and some other days she could care less... Our first Halloween outfit...She spit up on it right before this picture. Mom, stop taking my picture!!

Cereal!!

So this morning I tried rice cereal with Maddie and she could not have been less interested....I think that I am going to try it again tonight but she might not be ready for the spoon quite yet. She was not really sure what to think of all this but she did know that it was not a bottle. She did not keep any of the cereal in her mouth and it all ended up on her chin. :) Hungry and not understanding that this cereal is food too :) Very angry with me for not giving her a bottle right away... She was less than impressed with the cereal :) She just wanted a bottle.

Silly Tears

So I had a good cry last night for no reason...I used to think that my mom was silly because she always said that she could not watch movies or read books that involved children getting hurt. I always thought that was kind of silly because you knew that the movie/book was not real. Well, last night I understood how she feels. I was watching a silly show about two babies that were switched at birth and at 9 months their parents found out and they had to switch babies. I was bawling and had to turn it off because I could not control myself! I think I am going to be just like my mom!! :) Anyway, Maddie was sleeping all through the night for the past few days but woke up a few times again last night...maybe tonight will be back to normal :) I have also decided to wait until Saturday to start the rice cereal with Madelyn. I am not going to put it in her bottle because I have read scary things about children aspirating (spelling??) on it. Putting it in a bottle also causes the babies to not learn the stop reflex when they are eating...So, I am going to try feeing Madelyn rice cereal on Saturday morning!! There will be pictures of that for sure :)

Miss Piggy!!

Madelyn has become Miss Piggy!! She is hungry all the time and cannot wait more than two hours between feedings. I am thinking about putting rice cereal into her bottles a few times a day...Anyone have any advice for me about this? She is actually sleeping really well but is hungry all the time during the day. Let me know if you have any advice about what bottles to use to do this, or anything else I might want to know :)

Bath Time!

I wish I had those eye lashes!! :) Madelyn loves to be naked after her bath! She really loves her after bath baby massage :) It is her favorite time of the day. She starts to smile and laugh whenever she sees the tube of lotion...Not much else new here. Will post when we have more to say :)

She Did It!!!

Tonight, Madelyn was laying on her stomach and actually rolled over onto her back!!! She is still trying to get back over on her stomach from her back but she has now begun to roll over from her stomach to her back!!! She was so proud of herself, she was grinning from ear to ear! We got Madelyn a bebe pod chair today and she LOVES it!! She is practicing sitting up and doing very well! What a sweetie :)

Mommy's Birthday

Today is mommy's birthday and Madelyn gave me the best gift...She slept all the way through the night last night...From 9 to 4:30!! It was so nice...More later :)

3 months

Madelyn is 3 months old today!! She is doing so well. She actually "slept through the night" again last night. She is such a sweet little baby and growing so fast. She loves to sleep in her car seat with her new "friends". Those cute puppies keep her straps from rubbing into her cubby neck rolls :)

still sicky...

I think that Madelyn is feeling much better tonight. She was still up a few times last night but slept much better. Her nose is still running but is getting much better. :) Maybe tonight will be even better! She is still really trying to roll over. She can get her bottom half all the way over but does not know what to do with her arms yet :). Her favorite thing to do now is lay on the floor and practice. We have to strap her into her chair and swing now because she wants to roll out of those too! Practicing :)

Sleep

Sleep is something that we are not doing well these days. Mommy finally got over being sick and now little Madelyn seems to be suffering. She is waking up several times a night with a clogged nose and the coughs. They only time she really slept well last night was when we were on the chair. We may try and sleep sitting up in the swing tonight and see if that helps. Keep your fingers crossed that she gets over this soon and gets back to sleeping through the night... She loves being able to see everything...

Sleepy Daddy and Baby... Mommy just got over being sick, lets hope Madelyn doesn't catch it!! We are finally getting more sleep lately!! No more news as of now....post more later.

Baby Gensis

I know that all parents think that their child is the smartest and cutest but I really do have a baby gensis!! Even the teachers at the day care agree with me. Madelyn is ahead of the game on most developmental milestones. She is beginning to roll over and really really wants to sit up and she is not even 3 months old yet!! :) Madelyn is the best baby in the world. Concentrating so hard!! Growing up in the ET age inspired this picture. Which one is the baby? :)

I love my swing!!

I am really starting to love my swing! Getting sleepy in my swing! :)

Cutie

How cute am I?? Let's hope Madelyn learns to roll over soon so that we can all get some sleep. She gets frustrated trying to roll over and wakes herself up several times a night! We all need some sleep soon :).

Working Hard

Madelyn is trying very hard to roll over. She is getting very close. Anytime she is lying down she is trying to get over. She can get one half of her body over at a time. We have to watch her very close now because she can roll over any day now! We will keep you posted on the progress! Leave us comments :)

First Post

Hello All! So we are new to this blogging thing but thought we would give it a try. Keep checking back, we are going to try to put some fun things up here someday :). Madelyn in almost three months old now. I cannot imagine life without her. She is beginning to smile all the time and is a very happy baby. Here are some pictures from the last three months!! Much more to come :) Madelyn loves her bouncer!! Her feet almost touch the floor :) First time in the pool! She found her thumb!! Learning to sit up!! Almost strong enough.
