Christmas In Belton

Early Friday morning, we woke up to head down to Belton for our 3rd Christmas! We had a great time spending some time with family that we do not get to see very often. And, of course Madelyn got some great presents - she loves her new puzzles and books :) Madelyn did much better than I had expected since she is notorious for not sleeping well when we are gone. She actually took a pretty good nap on the way down there and took and smaller nap in the late afternoon. We stayed up way past her bedtime (around 9:30) but she went down like a pro and slept all night until 7 the next morning! What a good girl! Nannie has kept the toys that I played with when I was little and she loves playing with them!! Snuggling with Nannie! Following Nannie around the backyard! Helping Nannie pick up fallen sticks Eating her snack on the kitchen floor! Playing with Aunt Lindsey and the puppies!

In the afternoon we headed over to Gigi and Papa D's for more Christmas and some dinner! More presents!! Playing with her new toys! Playing with Bella! Chasing Bella around! Enjoying the outside!

Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful Christmas as a family. Madelyn has been a little under the weather lately (coughing and snotty) and was not feeling too well so decided to start Christmas around 4:30! We got up and relaxed for a little while as a family. We opened a few presents, ate some breakfast, played with our toys and relaxed! It was wonderful celebrating as a family... WE HAVE NEWS!!

Yesterday (Chrismas Eve) I took a cheap test - it was not super clear if it was a plus or not but I knew it my heart that we were pregnant. Christmas Eve, around 7 PM I was running around trying to find an open place to buy a digital test. I realized that Wal-Mart was closed but a grocery store near our house was open. After an unclear test yesterday, I got up early this morning to see it in words - and there it was!! We are pregnant (very early - around 4 weeks) and will be due sometime in early September! We are overjoyed and can't wait to meet our new little baby Bird!

SANTA!!

Yesterday, Madelyn went to see Santa. I was wary about this year because I was not sure how she would react to the big man. We were the first ones there and she got to watch Santa walking up - she was yelling SANTA the whole time. When it was time to sit with him she was a little afraid at first telling me 'no' but the Santa was really good. He started giving her high fives and saying HO, HO, HO. I set her down and the elf did her thing and these are the pictures...I think that they turned out pretty well - much better that I had expected (I expected screaming and crying!) Their picture - the image got a little distorted in the scan... A picture I got! PS - HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!!

2007 Christmas Scrapbook Pages

I am trying to catch up on my scrapbooking pages - these are for last Christmas...I am not super thrilled with them but I guess they are okay...Now, I can work on Christmas pages from this year (so far) and maybe work on some older ones as well :)

A PJ Kind of Day!

This was my first day off work for Christmas Vacation and since it was fairly cold today, Madelyn and I decided to spend the day in our PJ's! It was so nice to play, relax and cuddle all day long!
