Pant-less Baby!!

Madelyn has recently decided that she is not a fan of pants. She will tug at them until she can wrench them off! I would usually not mind this but she will not leave her diaper alone when she does not have pants on. So, a battle ensues...It is like dressing a monkey at times! :) What a funny funny child!

Boo Boo Bunny!

Madelyn is so funny. Any time she gets a "boo boo" she wants to have the "boo boo bunny" which is really just a frozen pack that has nothing to do with a bunny - it has a picture of a bear on it and we only call it that because that is what I called it as a child! The funny part is that she will not put it on the real "boo boo." No matter where she gets hurt, the "boo boo bunny" goes on her head! Funny girl! :)

Santa Toy

My Mom (Gigi) has a favorite Christmas decoration/toy that she has been waiting to show Madelyn. This weekend, we went over there and Gigi let Madelyn know all about Santa coming down the chimney. Madelyn was very interested in the toy but did not want to let Santa come down the chimney - she would just place him in the bottom...When she got bored with that, she carried Santa around for the rest of the afternoon! It looks like the love of the toy is mutual!

Christmas Party!

Today, Madelyn and her class had their Christmas Celebration! Each parent brought a snack and they did holiday crafts. When I picked Madelyn up this afternoon the whole class was wearing the shirts that they made using their hand and foot print. They also made a precious ornament!

When Madelyn woke up yesterday morning, her hair was a mess. I decided it was time to see if she had enough hair for a tiny ponytail and it was! She was not too sure what I was doing to her and messed with the ponytail for a little bit but actually left it in her hair all morning, even through nap time! It is still a little puny but her hair is really growing now! :) PS - Only one more week of school until Christmas Vacation! I am more than ready!!

Extreme Home Makeover!

So I heard that the show Extreme Home Makeover was redoing a house in our town. At first, I thought hey that's cool, I wonder where the house is and then I did not really even think about it again. A few days ago, coming home from school, I noticed that several random roads were closed and there were police and big trucks everywhere. I turned the cornor and looked across the field and this is what I saw -the house is only about 1 mile from our house! The big reveal is on Tuesday - I kind of want to go! :)

Football

Madelyn is totally her Daddy's girl! She loves spending time with him and playing around. She loves to carry around his football and yell touchdown! I took these pictures a few mornings ago before school. She absolutely would not put the football down and held on to it the entire 30 minute ride to school. What a precious Daddy's girl :)

Cold Weather!

Since it has been pretty cold here the past few days, we have finally gotten out some winter accessories for Madelyn! I think she looks pretty cute in her hat and mittens. She does not mind the mittens until she cannot pick something up and then she wants them off right away!! I swear these pants fit Madelyn last week! She has been shooting up like a weed and losing weight at the same time!

Not Eating!

Okay so Madelyn is going through this thing where she is not eating much at all - which is SO unlike her because she has always been big on food! She is refusing even her favorite foods. Clothes that fit her a week ago are now looking too big - she is really slimming down. Did anyone else go though this phase with their kiddo around 17-18 months? I am semi worried that she is not eating!

Mommy Play Date

Through some mutual friends, the Furr Family found our blog. Tara and I began talking and soon realized that not only were we both teachers but we lived very close to each other. We tried to get together over the summer before school began but it never worked out...We finally got together to meet yesterday. This child LOVES her books - we have a whole bucket full of books and Madelyn is in heaven when she can just sit and look through them. She loves to point out animals and things that she knows in the books...
