RIP

Today marks the beginning of the end of two of Madelyn's beloved items: formula and bottles. We are beginning to slowly transition from formula to cows milk. The doctor said he would like Madelyn to begin the transition around 11 1/2 months so that when he sees her in two weeks, he can see how she is handling it! I am also started to ween Madelyn away from bottles to sippy cups. She is good at drinking juice and water from them but still wants her "milk" from a bottle.

Madelyn tolerated mixing milk with formula but wanted nothing with the sippy cups...We are going to keep trying! :) Does anyone have any suggestions for either of these??

Riding in Style!

Gigi and Papa D bought Madelyn an early birthday present...It is a red wagon that she can ride in. She loves to be pushed around and take in the world...It is also a fun climbing toy :)

Tonight my sister is graduating from high school. Since the ceremony does not start until 8:00 and she is a "w", Derek, Madelyn and I decided to skip out...We all meet up for an early dinner before the ceremony to celebrate!! I am so proud of my little sister :) Congrats Hallie!!

This afternoon Derek, Madelyn and I headed over to my parents house because they were throwing a party for my little sister for her high school graduation...We had a lot of fun but we are all TIRED!! :)

I thought that since Madelyn had 11 teeth that she would stop chewing on everything!!! I assumed that we were getting done with teething and things would stop going straight into her mouth...I was wrong. She is still chewing on EVERYTHING that she can touch! :) But she looks pretty cute doing it :)

A favorite past time of Madelyn's during bath time is stacking her bath toys on the ledge and then knocking them off again!! She does this the entire time she is in the bathtub! :) How cute...

Madelyn is officially walking!! She will pull herself up and walk for a few steps around the room. She is so proud of herself and I know that Mommy and Daddy are in trouble :)

More Water!

Now that it is safely in the high 90's everyday here, we are really enjoying swimming almost daily. We went to Gigi and Papa D's this weekend to have some more fun in the pool! Madelyn really is a little fishy :)

Madelyn is a little fishy. I was so warm yesterday that Derek and I decided to get out Madelyn's new backyard pool. She loved sitting in the water and splashing around. She also loved her first taste of a fruit popsicle :)

June means...

Madelyn's Birthday!! This month, on the 26th, Madelyn will turn 1!!! We are so excited to see what the next year will bring. I am starting to think about her birthday and a small party. Does anyone have any fun ideas for her birthday??
